Fresh on the heels of the unfortunate news regarding the week-long delay of the Canadian Galaxy S III launch, we’re happy to report a bit of good news that should bring a smile to the faces of those with intentions of picking up the phone after it launches on the 27th.

Unlike the status of our Dropbox situation here in the States, ALL Canadian carriers will opt into the deal, meaning every one of you Canucks will get access to the two-year free 50 gigs of Dropbox storage. Pretty sweet, eh?

And, considering pretty much every Canadian carrier is getting the device, that’s good news for a whole lot of people. Samsung officially confirmed this, by saying:

New GS III users will receive a basic 2GB of free space with Dropbox (It is permanent). When they create their own Dropbox account or link their existing account to Samsung Apps, the user will receive 48GB more space through a promotional offer, for a total of 50GB. This is available for 2yrs.

This is a pretty sweet deal, keeping in mind that 50GB from Dropbox will typically set you back $99 a year. We’re no math geniuses, but we can definitely tell you that $198 could be well-spent elsewhere. Wouldn’t you agree?
